@ Hilary — The poster approach is especially powerful because we think in pictures. It’s easy for people to latch on to a visual and hold it in their hearts and in their minds as they find their way forward.

It’s also a great test of clarity. If we can’t draw our vision, it’s tough to get others on board. If we can’t draw our vision, it’s tough to stay the course. It’s also tough to know when the mission is accomplished, if we don’t know what good looks like, or what the end in mind really is.

@ Evelyn — Thank you. I think being in the game keeps me learning at a fast pace. I am fortunate to be surrounded by amazing people and extreme challenges.

One of mentors had a saying from his Dad … sometimes the best job, is the one you’ve got. My take is, find the job you love, or love the job you’ve got.

A book that really changed my perspective on work and life happiness is, Work from the Inside Out. It’s a fantastic, Zen-influenced guide to going with the flow and appreciating the work you have, while you have it, and how your work can grow you.

My favorite quote from the book is, “When it’s cold shiver, when it’s hot sweat.”

I seriously don’t know how you are able to blog so profusely and have a full time job at the same time. I am awed. I like the fact that you apply real-life practical wisdom from your workplace to share with us all. It is nice that you are working in a great environment and surrounded by people who are passionate. You are very fortunate! More often than not, I see sites that encourage folks to quit their jobs. Your blog makes a welcome change

@ Jeefrey — Actions speak our values for us. Ultimately values are what we do, not what we say we do. When we are congruent with our values we make magic happen.

Lucikly I have a large collection of movie posters in my mind to draw from. The one that always comes to mind is Indiana jones and the Lost Ark. It has adventure written all over it.

The power of the poster is really creating a complelling msh up of scenes or dreaming up that one epic moment that rules thme all.

The test is, when all is said and done, will we say it was worth it.

My favorite post you’ve written so far!

The fame or fortune choice rings so shallow. I love what you said and follow that myself.

Think your movie poster is a good idea for life. I’m going to try and design one for myself.

If life isn’t a challenge it becomes a bore. I love to turn things into a detective series, finding clues, piecing them together to solve whatever comes before me.

Your conflict of style is most intriguing. That will come in quite handy …

What a terrific environment to work in. There are still too many organizations who don’t believe values play a role, or, if they do, it’s a perfunctory role.
I especially resonate with your idea of keeping a beginner’s mind. There are far too many people telling and too few asking.

“I want to make an impact” – what a great answer. How rare is it to have a mentor or employer who is willing to get out of the way and let us run with what we’ve got.
